The festival will be held on the scenic riverbank behind the Laurieton United Services Club. As always, we will proudly celebrate the finest local produce, chefs, cooks, brewers, roasters, winemakers and entertainment on offer from the hinterland to the coast, in the laid-back atmosphere that can only be found at the Slice of Haven.
As with all events over the last two years, our funding options and resources have depleted so we're bringing back the event in a back-to-basics style.
We'd love your help in spreading the word that Slice of Haven is back! Share our social media posts with your networks. If there are any sponsors out there who'd like to support our event, please get in touch.
How to express your interest to be a stallholder - application update details to come
The Slice of Haven Food & Wine Festival has become a leading gourmet lifestyle event on the Mid North Coast social calendar, attracting over 13,000 people in 2019.
This year's theme Reawaken your taste for Slice is all about shaking off the last two years of uncertainty, chilling out and reconnecting with great company. Reawaken the senses of our visitors and reminded them of the fantastic food made from local produce by talented local cooks, chefs, roasters, beer and wine makers.
Use local produce to create unique event dishes that get people talking. Provide some marketing material so that people know where to find your venue or next event.
Dress up your team and your stalls to create an unforgettable atmosphere for the thousands of visitors!
Please download the Expression of Interest Form and Stallholder Criteria documents below to understand our stallholder selection process. All vendors must check with Port Macquarie Hastings Council's approval process to operate a temporary food stall. Click here to read the policy and call their customer service number to speak to a member of the regulatory team about your requirements.
Before you apply, please understand ...
Stallholders need to meet our criteria of residing within 100 miles of the Camden Haven, and providing food or beverages that are predominantly made or grown in the Camden Haven. Impress the committee with your take on this year's open theme and of course include a dollop of indulgence and a dash of quirky!
With a limited number of sites available, stallholders and musicians are invited to register their interest in being involved with Slice of Haven as soon as possible. Preference will be given to vendors who sell local produce and use local produce in their dishes.
EOI should include the price of a plate of food, what’s on it – especially the local content, ideally priced at $8 or less to ensure the festival is affordable and gives a tantalising taste of your gourmet skills. The reason we want the cost low, is so that people are able to afford to experience as many stallholder products as possible. So your plate of food should not fully feed a person, but enable a great experience so they can fit in more samples from around the event throughout the day. Everyone has taken a hit over these past few years and this year's event is about reawakening visitors to the amazing tastes and talents of the local region. It's a reminder to get out and experience life to the tastiest!
Slice of Haven is about showing what you can do, giving great service and experience to our visitors and making sure they go away with some marketing material to seek out your venue or follow you to your next event.
Please send your completed EOI, with copies of your current public liability insurance and food safety where appropriate.
DO NOT include payment with your EOI. Successful applicants will be notified early May and invoiced at this time.
Final applications close on 7th May 2022.
A Stallholder Information Kit will be provided to all successful applicants prior to the event.
